Beverley Folk Festival performers The Young’uns win Best Group at BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

The Young’uns, winners of the ‘Best Group’ two years running now, are no strangers to the Beverley Folk Festival, they first appeared in 2013 (the 30th anniversary of the Festival) when it moved to its current larger location at the Beverley Racecourse.

Jim Pybus, Director of Beverley Folk Festival commented  “We congratulate the Young’uns on their award win and we look forward to seeing their performance in June at the Beverley Folk Festival.  We are very happy to welcome the band back to our stage and that their win reinforces the Festival’s reputation for identifying great new talent.  We are proud to include the Young’uns amongst this years exceptional list of performers”.

The Young'uns will be performing on Saturday 18th June as part of the afternoon lineup on the Main Stage.

The Folk awards were held at the Royal Albert Hall and were broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 on 27th April.
