Malton Stables Open Day takes place on Sunday 13th September with new facilities and new events, with plenty on offer for a great day out.
Go behind the scenes of 20 of Malton’s stable yards and visit many of the other racing venues in the town, including the newly opened Jack Berry House and its superb facilities; a state-of-the-art gym, hydrotherapy pool and associated respite units.
Racing Welfare and Rainbow Equine Hospital will be opening to visitors and the Retraining of Racehorses quadrille will hold two demonstrations at Norton Grange Stables.
Afternoon activities include a pony racing exhibition and a jockey jumping relay taking place at the gallops off Langton Road. Young stars of the future will team up with the professionals of today in a jumping relay race which promises to be both thrilling and entertaining.
Yards open 9 am until 1 pm. Jack Berry House, Racing Welfare and Rainbow Equine Hospital open 10 am until 2 pm. Tickets can be purchased on the day from Malton Market place and the stable yards. Tickets cost £10 per person, children under 12 are admitted free with accompanying adult.
