As well as featuring our richest race of the season, the notorious Betfred Beverley Bullet, Saturday will also see pony racers battling it out in two races over 5 and 7 furlongs.
Pony Racing was formally introduced in Britain in 2004 with the aim of encouraging more young people to consider a career as a jockey. Since then, over 100 riders have graduated from Pony Racing and are now jockeys with many more also working within the horseracing industry, including Beverley regulars Jacob Butterfield and Eva Moscrop.
Anyone aged between 9-15 can have a go! Whether a first timer or an experienced young jockey the PRA hosts many races around the country for ponies and riders of all abilities and experince, so its accessible to anyone with access to a pony and the will to give it a go! Find out more here.
