Raceday Wrap Up – Afternoon Racing 14th May

Just like that another raceday complete on the Westwood. To those that joined us thank you for coming, we hope you had a brilliant day.

7 competitive races resulted in some nail-biting finishes, in fact the judge called a photo finish in three of the seven races. Fingers crossed you were on the right end of the photo finishes if you had any bets!

Performance of the day
Spartan Warrior (pictured far side) showed a fantastic attitude to land our finale for Kevin Stott and Ollie Sangster.

After winning here on May 6th, the horse had a penalty to defy but made virtually all the running to win in a three-way photo finish. He is still very unexposed over middle distance trips and can keep up this winning streak!

Eyecatcher of the day 

Moving Force made a winning debut in our opening race for Richard Fahey and Oisin Orr and is a horse who could be Royal Ascot bound!

It was all smooth sailing for the Mehmas colt who quickened clear to lead in the final furlong. He is definetely one to keep an eye on!
