Need To Knows
This is our smartest enclosure so why not dress to impress! Suits, dresses, ties and hats are all welcome in this enclosure. Whilst we suggest you make the most of the opportunity to dress up (it is the races after all), tailored shorts and t-shirts are permitted; we just suggest your overall appearance is smart. Sports wear and fancy dress is not permitted, other than on the Bygone Raceday and 70s Racenight.
Under 18s are welcome in the Premier Enclosure at all of our race meetings, are admitted for free and do not need a ticket (other than on Ladies’ Day.)
The Premier Enclosure is popular and often sells out at our busier meetings, so please book your ticket in advance (it’s cheaper too!)
Racegoers are generally not permitted to bring their own food, drink or seating into this enclosure, however please do contact us in advance to pre-arrange otherwise if you feel you are exempted.
Within the Premier Enclosure you can place bets with the Tote or one of our on-course bookmakers on the Premier Terrace. Don’t know where to start? No problem, just visit a tote counter or bookie when you arrive and they’ll be happy to help!
Park for free opposite the course on the Westwood.
We actively support the RCA and Drink Aware’s Pace Yourself campaign – encouraging responsible drinking on a raceday to make sure you last the distance. Find out more about Drink Aware here but the message is simple – allow one soft drink to every alcoholic one.
Visit with confidence knowing that we have a zero tolerance policy on antisocial behaviour; the police are present at all racedays and anyone found to be drunk and disorderly will be evicted with no refund.
Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure
If you’re after a busy, lively atmosphere, then the Grandstand & Paddock is ideal. It’s our largest enclosure and features a great range of bars and eateries, as well as on-course bookmakers and access to the paddock.
Facilities include the Paddock Bar with its deli buffet and beautiful views, the vibrant Rapid Lad Bar with its traditional betting hall, the Touch Above Bar, featuring the burger bar and fish and chip shop
