Raceday Wrap Up – Afternoon Racing 25th April

Weighed in, Weighed in….
And with that, our 2024 season is up and running! It was a week later than we imagined but it was brilliant to start our new season yesterday, to those that came thank you for joining us.

The raceday will be remembered for competitive racing with some fantastic finishes and even a bit of sunshine, we hoped you enjoyed your time with us.

Performance of the day
Little Rose turned our finale into a procession, winning by 4.75 lengths for Tom Marquand and William Haggas.
Little Rose never saw another rival, making all the running before scooting clear with 2 furlongs to go. She showed an impressive turn of foot and looks capable of winning again soon.

Eyecatcher of the day
Dambuster won our third race by less than a length but looked like a horse with a huge future for Andrew Balding.

Dambuster found himself on the back foot with 2 furlongs to go as the leaders skipped over 3 lengths clear, but the son of Kingman found top gear in the final furlong to get his head in front. This £750,000 purchase is definitely one to keep an eye on.
