Raceday Wrap Up – Very British Raceday – 8th June

Weighed in, Weighed in….

Our bet365 Very British Raceday is always a brilliant day and Saturday was no different. The perfect mix of competitive racing, good weather, and great live music after racing provided a day to remember at Beverley Racecourse.

To see so many enjoying our first Saturday raceday of the 2024 season was fantastic to see, a big thank you to those who joined us.  !

Performance of the day

Our opening race saw REMOJI take flight down the centre of the track to score for James Doyle and Roger Varian, improving the trainers strike rate to 48% here in the last 5 years.

The three-year-old filly was 5 lengths adrift of the leader with a furlong to go but stayed on strongly to score. With only two careers starts to her name she is open to endless improvement and is a horse to follow.

Eyecatcher of the day

MOVING FORCE (pictured far side) just came out on the losing side in a terrific battle in the bet365 Two Year Old Trophy. The Richard Fahey trained colt had to concede 7 pounds to the eventual winner and was only defeated by a short head.

With two extremely promising runs to his name to date, Moving Force could be one of many horses to rise through the ranks having started their careers at Beverley.
