Your Guide to the Best Beverley Races Has to Offer in Summer 2026

We’ve put together a strong calendar for 2026, and if you’re planning your summer around horse racing events in Yorkshire, there’s plenty here worth knowing about. From evening meetings on the Westwood to big Saturdays with live entertainment, Beverley Races covers a lot of ground in summer 2026.

Here’s a look at the horse racing fixtures in Yorkshire that we think deserve a spot in your diary…

Evening Racing: 16th June

The summer season gets going on 16th June with an evening meeting on the Westwood. Gates open at 4:30pm, the first race goes off at 6:30pm, and racing finishes up around 9pm. It’s a good shout if you fancy a midweek evening out with food, drinks, and a few races to keep things interesting.

Evening Racing & Summer Saturday: 3rd & 4th July

Two days worth putting back-to-back in the diary.

Friday 3rd July is an evening meeting with a DJ set from local act Simon Hudson on the Premier Terrace after racing. He’ll play for 60 to 90 minutes, and it’s included in your admission ticket, so no extras to worry about.

Saturday 4th July is our first Summer Saturday raceday of 2026, with a seven-race card and a decent afternoon’s racing on the cards. It also features the second running of the Listed Charlie Wood Stakes, run over a mile and four furlongs. The inaugural winner was Candleford, trained by Yorkshireman William Haggas and ridden by Cieren Fallon, so there’s some local history attached to it already. After racing, Radio X Breakfast presenter Chris Moyles is doing a DJ set, with retro 90s music and a proper atmosphere on the Westwood. The set is included in all admission and hospitality tickets.

SkyBet Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival: 20th July

This is one of the bigger evenings in the calendar, celebrating horse racing in Yorkshire across several venues during the same week. At Beverley, it’s a seven-race evening card, and before racing begins, the jockeys take part in the Paddock & Chips penalty shoot-out, which is always worth watching.

Family Racedays: 28th July & 30th August

There are two family racedays in this year’s summer calendar, and both are well worth a look if you’re planning a day out with the kids.

28th July is our summer Family Fun Raceday, a dedicated afternoon of racing on the Westwood aimed squarely at families.

30th August is the William Hill Beverley Bullet, which is new for 2026, having moved to a Bank Holiday Sunday. It now features on ITV Racing alongside the William Hill Silver Cup, so it’s a proper occasion. The race itself brings the fastest five-furlong sprinters together on the Westwood straight, and it’s always a good watch. Alongside the racing, there’s a Circus Big Top with skills workshops running throughout the afternoon, which gives families something extra to get stuck into. Under 18s go free with a paying adult at our family racedays.

Ladies Day: 12th August

Ladies Day at Beverley, presented by Porsche Centre Hull, has a strong reputation and regularly features among the best Ladies Days at Yorkshire racecourses. Racegoers dress up for the chance to be crowned Most Stylish Racegoer, and there’s good racing alongside it. It’s a well-established day in the calendar that tends to sell out quickly. Premier Admission tickets have gone in the last four years running, so it’s worth booking ahead rather than leaving it to chance.

Summer Saturday with Craig Charles: 29th August

Craig Charles brings his Funk and Soul Show to the Westwood on Saturday 29th August. He’s well known across television, radio, and the live music circuit, and his DJ sets have a strong following. After a full afternoon of racing, he’ll play for 60 to 90 minutes, and the set is included in all admission and hospitality tickets.

The Season Finale: 22nd September

The 2026 season wraps up on 22nd September with an afternoon card on the Westwood. It’s always a good occasion, with a competitive racecard and the usual food and drink offering. A decent way to round off the summer.
